Epilogue

A few years of living in peace after the Pearl Crisis, several individuals would find new callings. After marrying Lek, the Umiko and Lek would become diplomatic ambassadors for their respective homes, often traveling together to inspire and research other beings to mend broken allyships. They also snuck away often for secret dates, finding treasures to oggle over.

Vergus would come down to visit Yasuki often, eager to reconnect with his dragon friend. With their friendship rekindled, the two would found a more tender bond between them.

Deep in the Coral Abyss, Nur Suriani and Faizal would amicably break off their troublesome marriage. She happily went away to live a single and rich life as the sultan remained in discontentment within his palace.

Disgusted by the East Sea’s happiness, Faizal threatened to shatter the peace once and for all with an attack. However, the threat was challenged by Yasuki, who suprised the sultan by taking time to confidently venture down into the abyss for himself.

Encouraged by Vergus and accompanied by Umiko, Yasuki made a deal with Faizal for the sake of their pride- defeat each other in a friendly game. If Faizal won, he can lay siege to the Azure Celestial Palace. If Yasuki won, then the Coral Abyss would finally sign a mutual peace treaty to unite the kingdoms.

Faizal was disgusted that this would have only come about with the other sea kings’ approval and took the challenge, eager to ruin Yasuki.

However, unbeknownst to the sultan, Lek and Ehsan would work to sabotage the game, giving signs to Yasuki to cheat in certain areas.

And of course, the East Sea emperor would win. Faizal made sure to not act like too much of a sore loser and bitterly accepted defeat. Faizal and Yasuki left to do business... and in their privacy Faizal's anger is disappated by a kiss from Yasuki.

Yasuki askd for the sultan to take him back and forgive him. He missed his friend, the first friend he made in the sea. He asks for Faizal to not take over the Azure palace, but come live with him instead.

To live in the palace? To take back the sea dragon prince he lost?

…it would take time for his heart to mend, but Faizal followed through with the signage of the treaty. The Coral Abyss reunited with the East Sea. Much later, Ehsan would marry and be made the new sultan of the Coral Abyss nation.

Faizal and Yasuki would have enough time to rediscover what was lost between the two former lovers.
