North Sea
The North is the largest ocean out of the four seas. Its size is equal to the insurmountable strength found within its people, as it is a sea that births the greatest warriors in the world. Vitality is needed to battle the monsters and cold that takes hold here, but that has never made this nation buckle before. They don't intend on putting their defenses down any time soon.

Locations
Cities
Black Celestial Palace
The city is nestled underneath a giant glacier, with dark mounds of rock surrounding the perimeter to act as protective, fortress walls. Many structures incorporate the natural ice around them, the citizens used to the cold. The black palace is partly merged into the ice, the structure magically protected from ever breaking or melting. The solid structure is famous for its ice dungeons, utalizing the natural glacier to freeze over wrong-doers.
Trinary Feats Academy
Known as the "The Northern Sea Trinary Feats Academy", it is the most accredited, rigorous, and oldest combat training school in the world. While there are many different types of combat training here, the three main martial arts are: sea-equestrian sports, archery, and wrestling/dueling. It is currently closing open-enrollment to outsiders, requiring passage of a highly rigorous test to be admitted in.
Key Territories
Tempest Plains
The largest area of the Northern Sea. It contains large expanses of seagrass of a beautiful deep green. Some say from far away the meadows look like rolling waves of stormy ink. The spacious place is a favorite for big sea mammal fish.
Ashen Seamounts
A rocky sea mountain range, famous for its ashy to jet black rocks. Clans would nestle in protective crevices to hide from harsh winters.
Whipping Currents
An area of the North Sea carved away by winding currents, with the nomadic clans there utalizing the waters for travel. It is often filled with deep valleys and arches.
Crystaline Caves
A cave system of ice and rock found near the Ashen Seamounts, with many clans making a home inside the freezing ice caves.
Landmarks
Glacier Forest
Where the Northern Sea is said to stop and the wilderness begins. It is a giant tunnel system in the icecap that rests in the North Sea, filled with shifting glacier walls and endless frozen tunnels. Leviathans terrorize the depths while sea pirates hide on the surface. The shifting currents make it a dangerous area to swim.
Listless Chimes
A large kelp forest that sits beyond the Black Celestial Palace. Its leaves are dark green to black, and the frozen sections form ice. The movement of the ice produce dainty chime sounds, making it a popular place for a swim.
Ice Shields
Name for the drifting icepacks that break off of the Glacier Forest. They are far and wide on the surface of the Northern Sea, and many know it to be the typical ceiling of their ocean.
Pitch-Black Temple
Not exactly a temple, but grandeur enough to shelter believers. It is a spacious underwater cavern supported by hundreds of miles of stone arches and pillars. The structures hold up a land mass merged with an iceberg. It is an endless space of peace and darkness.
Last Warrior's Summet
An incredibly tall seamount that has rising slates of rock piling onto the peak. Atop of the formation is a rock shaped like a merfish pulling or slamming a weapon. No one dares distrub the formation. Also known as the "Last Warrior's Stand".
Demon's Piece
An unusual iceberg that is completely made of black clored ice. It contains no tunnels or holes to travel into, and when lost from view it is gone for long periods of time. Some say it is a cursed pice of land, others say it is unnatural may contain something inside. It is also called, "The Demon's Ice Piece".
Dappled Meadows
An area famous for this high density of sea horses. The sea grass here are gathered in clumps due to the hunting nature of the sea horses, often making the sea floor look like grass spots.
Permaforest
A petrified coral reef. Giant branching kelp and coral are frozen with ice, but the plants within have turned black instead of white, casting the land in an eternal shadow. No life sprouts here.
Slumbering Pit
A giant pit that leads to deeper caves in smaller glaciers near the eastern side of the ocean. Deep within is a perfectly preserved ancient leviathan, frozen in time. Any more present creatures are not investigated. It is a protected area, as well as a cursed one.
Western & Eastern Kelp
Large kelp forests that merge with the borders of the West and East Sea.
Striped Caravan
An unusually blue floating iceberg with black stripes of sediment. It travels around the North Sea, slowly losing its parts over the dynasties. Opportune merchants make a home in the ice, often lighting up the space around them with glowing signals.
Northern Beacon
A large volcano that sea emperors can use to send signals to Sunland or other seafarrers.
