Known as the most festive ocean, the denizens of this sea have a fire in their heart that is the envy of all who are too afraid to follow their dreams. The South Sea takes pride in passion and comradery, believing that celebrations are wonderful ways to share good memories with the community. Certainly a lively nation, enough to disturb its neighbors without reprieve for dynasties.

Red Celestial Palace
A city of lights and festivities! The Red Celestial Palace is densily populated with businesses and restaurants from all over hoping to make it big during the many events that take place here. The palace itself is mounted on an active volcano, however the magma in it is safely concealed and used for magical purposes. The building is constantly decorated with lights and other ornaments for festivities.

Shellsong
A rocky village that is home to many shellfish-like merfolk. Giant shells of monsters or rock formations make great homes for these people- and great acoustics for musical performances.
Twinkling Village
A village that lives near smaller sea vents and volcanoes, famous for utalizing the fires to produce lightshows that sparkle in any darkness.
Simmers
Surrounded by small heat vents, this village has utalized its environment to produce cuisine unique to volcanic cooking, becoming a food hot spot.
Sunwoven
A village surrounded by soft seagrass and kelp, often used to create beautiful fabrics and accessories.
Landmarks
Mt. Soot
The largest volcano in the South Sea, it holds some sacred reputation for the materials that spew out of its core. It sits in the Flaming Peaks ring, being the most active in the area. It's clouds are black with soot.
Charred Colossal
The giant charred remains of a leviathan, its exoskeleton being the only remains left of the monster. It sits at the bottom of Mt. Soot, serving as a reminder for the dangers of these volcanoes.
Boiling Plains
Though not completely flat, hundreds of volcanic vents litter the floor, causing these waters to rise in unbearable temperatures. Sailing above spells danger due to numerous airpockets bubbling forth.
Crimson Kelp Forest
A bright red kelp forest that is home to the brightest red anemone around. Its brilliant warm colors make a lovely spot for sight-seeing.
Sunray Reef
A reef that blooms brilliant warm colors near the surface of the water. It sits on an inactive volcano, bearing a multitude of delicious undersea fruit.
Dawning Pillar
A tall, skinny volcano formation that when erupts, sends out singular balls of light. It looks like suns rising through the water, and often makes low booming sounds that rip through the waters.
Flaming Peaks
A large ring of volcanoes are still highly active in the kingdom. Villages and merfish are advised to keep a good distance away as dust and magma may cloud the waters around it.
Fairys' Garden
A special guyot mountain that has a flat surface covered in glowing sea grass. At certain conditions when the night is low, the plants will produce small points of light, reflecting a glowing meadow underwater.
Hellish Veins
A deep area of the South Sea that is rumored to be the gates of the Underworld. The tunnels and mounts are covered in glowing veins of magma, though no eruptions have occured. Dangerous fumes spew from these veins. It is bad luck to hang around for too long.
Eastern & Western Kelp
Large kelp forests that merge with the borders of the West and East Sea.
Ruby Scales
A road that is lined with rubies shaped like scales, forming due to hot, magma conditions. Mining is consistant here, but certain roads are left untouched for its beauty.
Southern Beacon
A large volcano that sea emperors can use to send signals to Sunland or other seafarrers.

3 / New Years Blast
The largest recorded festivity for the New Year takes place in the South Sea, lasting for several weeks.
4 / Underworld
A giant heat vent is discovered, with magical propereties leading to the Underworld. Infiltration of demons begin.
5 / Pearl Crisis
Demon pirates take the pearl of the South Sea, and the land is wrought with volcanic eruptions and storms.
6 / Peace
The North, West, and South sea recognize Yasuki as emperor of the East Sea and rebuild relations.
7 / Golden Crisis
The four sea emperors are kidnapped during a diplomatic visit to Sunland. They are saved by Umiko and slay an imposter golden dragon.
8 / Sunland Union
The North, West, and South sea mend relations with Sunland. Rains are provided to the land again.
