A colorful and highly diverse ocean, the East Sea is home to the most beautiful plant life in the world, as nature is taken care of by a nation no stranger to tender care and healing. Hope is a strong belief here, as this sea has been wrought with turmoil and corruption over the past few dynasties. May it continue to regrow and prosper in the peace it deserves!

Azure Celestial Palace
A bright and colorful city filled with a diverse population of merfish. There are always new types of businesses sprouting here, as well as thousands of naturally growing coral and undersea plants. The celestial palace is shaped along a rising sea mount surrounded by giant coral branches protecting the main structures.
Coral Abyss
The deepest trench in the world, the Coral Abyss makes its home several leagues under the city. The trench is filled with deep sea creatures, leviathans, and bioluminescent plants. The Abyssian palace is built inside of a mouth of a large cave overlooking the trench, with beautiful towers enclosing the space.

Blossom
A village known for its prestigious cultivation of different types of unique coral and anemone. Beautiful meadows of seagrass surround the area.
A village filled with merfish who love to dig themselves into the sand. Beautiful sand sculptures and gardens are made here.
Jawside
A fishing village filled with primarily sharks, all experts in the hunting and trade of fish. It lies just close by to a giant leviathan skeleton.
Moonbeam
A serene and pictureque village that have utalized glass to capture the magic of the moon. Most temples and mosques are close-by here.
Landmarks
Spring Reefs
The largest coral reef of the world, it is more akin to a forest, with towering coral branches and giant anemone surrounding the sea shelves. Multitude of colors splash the area, making it a wonderful swimming spot for leisure or creative thought.
Rainbow Basin
A basin that has colorful layers of rock the deeper one swims down, looking akin to a painting. Corals cascade down the walls.
Azure Kelp Forest
This kelp forest has a brilliant blue color as opposed to the common dark green, often glistening wonderfully near the surface.
Serpent Coils
Giant rock archways that loop around, the tops of the rocks containg coral. The overall shape looks like a coiling serpent.
Deep Whisper
A deep circular basin cannot grow life, there it is said to be haunted. Those who venture in may not come out the same. At the bottom holds a brine pool said to hold negative energy.
Sleepy Seamounts
Brilliant blue seamounts that line the eastern-most part of the sea.
Dizzy Canyons
Looping seamounts that often get merfish lost, forcing them to swim closer to the surface if they want to go home on time.
Bloom Chain
A chain of seamounts that are littered with coral reefs, with tunnels and cave systems that make good homes for creatures.
Northern & Southern Kelp
Large kelp forests that merge with the borders of the North and South Sea.
Spine Forest
A kelp forest that was flattened by the death of a leviathan. The kelp is dangerously thick here, as bones of fish are often discarded here to decompose. Coral currently grows on the bones, springing new life.
Echo Ring
A circular trench that has many tunnel networks that sprout around the area. The narrow tunnels make lots of echo.
Eastern Beacon
A large volcano that sea emperors can use to send signals to Sunland or other seafarrers.

History
1 / 12th Dynasty
Emperor Takara is chosen as emperor for the 12th dynasty. Abuse of power, riches, and neglect of the people occurs for the next few years.
2 / Coral Abyss
Takara takes offense to Demang questioning his power, thus exiling all octofolk to the Coral Abyss and makes it law.
3 / Hybrid Child
Yasuki is born to an unknown mermaid mother. He is kept from the palace to save face.
4 / Dwelling Life
Yasuki escapes to Sunland and lives with dwelling friends Makisig, Keej, and Budi.
5 / Capture
Years after living in Sunland, the original 12th dynasty Sunland emperor seizes Yasuki. Yasuki is ordered to convice Takara to provide rain water to ease Sunland's droughts.
6 / Leviathans
The Sunland emperor convinces Yasuki's friends to betray him and release an ancient monster. The leviathan defeats Takara. Yasuki slays the leviathan to defend people.
7 / Replacement
Other sea emperors condomen Sunland emperor to step down. The Heavens chose Yasuki as the new Eastern Sea emperor, but other sea emperors will not recognize him. Takara's royal family abandons the palace.
8 / Disappearence
Yasuki disappears before the coronation ceramony.
9 / Emperor Yasuki
Yasuki returns a few months later from the Abyss, accepting position as the Emperor of the Eastern Sea.
10 / Rebuilding
Yasuki spends the rest of the rule attempting to rebuild the Eastern Sea.
11 / Cleanse
Yasuki asks for aid from Heavens to deal with criminals. He is ordered to purify the land, therefore assigning General Chihaya to kill all corrupt samurai.
12 / Sunland Union
New Sunland emperor asks for allyship from Yasuki and forgiveness. Yasuki accepts, the East providing rain for Sunland.
13 / Princess Umiko
Yasuki adopts an orphan Umiko, her village destroyed by sea bandits/pirates.
14 / Coral Festival
Blossoming of ancient coral allows for the East Sea to celebrate their festival again. Yasuki attempts to extend diplomatic relations with other seas but is not returned.
15 / Pearl Crisis
Demons punished by the sea emperors are accidently released by Umiko, kidnapping Yasuki. Storms rage the East Sea as the pirates plot to steal the rest of the pearls.
16 / Pearl Resolution
Umiko and Yasuki save the seas, the East safe once more. Diplomatic relations are improved for all seas and lands.
17 / Coral Abyss Union
Yasuki and Faizal mend diplomatic relations and do away with the exile. Faizal becomes consort to Yasuki, Ehsan crowned as new sultan of Coral Abyss.
18 / Princess Lek
Umiko and Lek are given blessings to marry.
19 / 13th Dynasty
Years after Yasuki, for the next dynasty the Heavens chose Umiko as the first mermaid / dragon Empress to rule the East Sea.
