Even the deepest trenches of the ocean are full of life, hiding their gilded treasures within the safety of ocean darkness. The Coral Abyss was founded through the wrongful ostracization of Eastern octofolk, however, it still birthed a nation that can still glow under enormous pressure. The octofolk of the Abyss are wary individuals, ready to defend themselves against threats to their homes.

Brief
History
1 / Exile
Emperor Takara forces all octofolk into the Coral Abyss as exile for questioning his rule and other prejudice against their subspecies.
2 / Cruelty
Demang plots to rage war against the sea emperors, especially Takara for the mistreatment. Several plots of cruelty against oustside merfish are enacted.
3 / Faizal
Demang uses magic to have a son with incredible toxins, thus Faizal is born under harsh rule. Faizal's mother dies in the process.
4 / Yasuki's Servitude
Years later, Faizal finds Yasuki adrift. Recognizing the heir, he makes Yasuki his servant. He plots to have Yasuki give him the crown to rule over East Sea himself instead of his father.
5 / Yasuki's Betrayal
The two fall in love, however Yasuki receives a vision of the sea in shambles under Faizal's rule. He accepts his duty as emperor and leaves Faizal heartbroken and enraged.
6 / Engagement
Faizal is engaged and marries Nur Suriani.
7 / Ehsan
On the night of Ehsan's birth, Faizal murders Demang and all corrupt officials in the Coral Abyss.
8 / Trade Route Seizure
Coral Abyss claims main routes of trade, increasing tension with East Sea.
9 / Kidnapping
Prince Ehsan is kidnapped by Prince Khair to force Faizal to sign an accord of allyship with Ophidian Shoals.
10 / Allyship and Khair's Servitdue
Ophidian Shoals and Coral Abyss are allies, but as punishment Khair is dethroned by his own father and Faizal makes him a servant to Ehsan.
11 / 2nd Kidnapping
Khair and Ehsan fall in love. Ehsan is kidnapped by Aqil, a corrupt official. Khair retrieves and saves the prince from harm.
12 / General
Khair is promoted to general's apprentence and to general as gratitude for saving Ehsan's life.
13 / Marriage
Ehsan and Khair marry, officially putting the two nations in good graces with one another.
14 / Divorce
Nur Suriani decides to end the marriage between her and Faizal.
15 / Pearl Crisis
The Coral Abyss palace is ransacked by demon pirates. Faizal puts his hatred for Yasuki aside and assists Umiko by unlocking the gate to the South Sea.
16 / Peace Treaty
After the crisis, with the other sea emperors' approval Yasuki attempts to rekindle their relationship, and Faizal agrees on a peace treaty. The Coral Abyss is a part of the East Sea once more.
17 / Sultan Ehsan
Faizal is asked to marry Yasuki. Faizal declares Ehsan the new sultan of the Coral Abyss.
