Changes
When a new dynasty turns over and a brand new Sea Dragon family is chosen, if the culture is different then there will be a pass over of traditions. This means that major buildings will magically change architecture, and certain languages and holidays will now be prevalent in the ocean. The transition is meant to be easy for merfolk, as a full transition lasts a century.

When crowned, the entire celestial palace and major buildings of government will be instantly transformed. Buildings of worship are usually left untouched, as well as the homes of citizens. Major documents and seals will be fitted for the new emperor's use, therefore the most drastic change in a new dynasty is the visuals.
​
The new rulers will establish new major holidays while allowing past holidays to be organized by citizens rather than directly by the emperor. The major language will change and be switched at all educational buildings.
Untouched
Like places of worship, there are many areas of the ocean that have remained untouched by the change of dynasties. Certain landmarks or buildings that have been named in another language will keep their original name but may be referred to the Main Language for ease of communication.

Existing architecture or villages should not be torn down, though conflicts are unavoidable with each dynasty.
